Sedara Burson
Sedara Burson is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, and herbalist in Georgia with over seventeen years of experience providing psychotherapy.
She studied family systems and earned a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Sophia University in Palo Alto, CA (formerly the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology), a Bachelor’s in Business Management, and an Associate’s in Liberal Studies from Kentucky State University.
For the past seventeen years, she has had the honor to provide psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, individuals, families, and groups in clinic, telehealth, and home settings. A large amount of my work has focused on family systems, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, depression, and grief and loss.
She is currently a Clinical Director at a community-based mental health center and was a consultant for TQ Intelligence, helping develop a groundbreaking mental health app that determines the level of pediatric trauma using their voice! She has written 6 children’s books to help other clinicians, teachers, and parents explain important social-emotional concepts to their little ones. In April of 2022, she became a certified herbalist to enhance the work she does for others.
She is a member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development, Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of Georgia.
